I had the day off so I had the amazingness of doing my work out whenever I felt like it instead of trying to cram it before work or after. So after a yummy breakfast- lately I've been having scrambled eggs with saute'd peppers and onions inside a tortilla... anyways!! I jumped on my lovely bike- mind you, I dont have some like spectacular bike- just what works. It looked pretty cloudy out but it's the norm lately with all our rain so I thought nothing of it until my father texted me mid-ride to bring the dogs in- storms are coming. Oh, yes- wait- I have 5 miles to go- from hell to high water I was going to ride for 60 minutes. And I did.... got home in time to catch a few sprinkles and bring the dogs in.
I worked a long day but I still made it to the gym for a lovely 2 miles. Short and sweet. Pretty simple run, no complications :)
3 miles for the treadmill but for some reason couldn't get on my game. Was rather humid, mind you- our gym doesn't have A/C. That doesn't sound safe does it? But I managed a fan and moved that puppy over to the first treadmill I wanted - it wouldn't let me use the timer on it so me and my fan ( yes we travel as a pair now ) over to another treadmill... and trotted away. I usually have the treadmill screen covered with a magazine so I can't see how much time or how far I've gone as I focus too much on it and it plays too many mind games with me- but I like it counting down so I can peek quick to see. Anyways- I was looking at the clock on the wall - thinking I was done but I wasn't- I had 10 more minutes to go- threw my game off, felt like forever but got her done.
I also lifted, followed an all body work out that I've found online so by time I was done I was a sexy sweaty mess but I loved it. I should have used a heavier weight on my arms - note for next time.
Another day off this week- I'm not going to lie- I was almost just going to call it a rest day all together ( it's suppose to be via the online training schedule but I wanted to cross train) I had a headache and slept pretty lousy but finally after spending most of my morning being lazy aka scrapbooking in bed :); I decided I couldn't waste this finally sunny day - went to the farmers market than got myself ready for another 60 minute bike ride. I did the same route I did the other day knowing it was approx 11 miles and this time, it was so much more enjoyable.. sun shining, nice breeze- jamming to iheartradio app. Yes, I caught myself bouncing on my seat... don't judge. I feel so good that I made some good use out of the sunny day but after riding by the pool, I can't wait to dive in to the pool sometime soon :) Maybe next week??
The rest of my week will be a little bit more complex in my training - Saturday I have a long day of work and the gym will be closed when I'm done so I'm hoping / praying for a sunny day to do my run or I may have to invest in using my lunch hour for it and Sunday the gym is closed all together- so again- mister sunshine better give me one of his biggest shining smiles that day :) I m so excited- I think having a schedule makes me so much more ready to work out and I know I love the way it feels when I'm done. I'm this much closer to running a 10k :)
